Las Vegas, known as the “Entertainment Capital of the World,” is well renowned for it’s vibrant nightlife, one of a kind shows, and of course, it’s luxurious resorts and spas. During my recent visit to this iconic city, I had the pleasure of visiting the Oleksandra Spa and Salon nestled within the timeless Treasure Island Hotel and Casino. My bestie and I were staying at the hotel and decided to relax and wind down with a nice spa day after being on our feet all weekend. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting several spas in the Las Vegas area, as well as many others in the US, and I can honestly say that my experience at this spa ranks among my all-time favorites. Let’s dive into what you can expect when visiting this spa!
First Impression of Oleksandra Spa
Upon entering the spa, my friend and I were greeted by two lovely ladies at the front desk who were very warm in nature. We were then greeted by another staff member who showed us around the facilities and directed us to our lockers to change into the robes provided by the spa. The delicious but subtle aroma of the spa really added to the overall feel too. I felt light on my feet and relieved of stress simply from just being there.
I have a passion for interior design and how it influences the ambiance of a space, and how it makes me feel. Upon walking into this salon, I was instantly transported into a realm of pure luxury. The thought kept echoing in my mind, “Yup, this is where I belong.” From the staff to the atmosphere, the Oleksandra Spa and Salon gave an amazing first impression and set my expectations high for my service to come.
The Facilities
At the Oleksandra Spa and Salon, they have an array of amenities for you to enjoy upon arrival. There were plenty of chocolates, trail mix, water, pineapple juice, and more available for us to enjoy. They’ve got a whirlpool jacuzzi positioned in the middle of the floor, a steam room, and a dry sauna. They’ve also got lounge chairs along the walls, with two thoughtfully placed in front of the jacuzzi, creating the most perfect girl chat setting.
Bestie and I showed up about 30 minutes early for our appointments. In hindsight, wish we had come even earlier to fully immerse ourselves. Don’t fret though, I believe with any service 50 minutes or longer, you have a pass to return to the spa whenever you’d like for the rest of the day to enjoy the facilities. We just had somewhere to be afterwards. I remember dipping my feet into the jacuzzi, and I couldn’t help but gaze at my reflection in the mirror before me, taking in the opulent surroundings. It was a whole moment; that is until my massage therapist entered the room, signaling the beginning of my eagerly awaited appointment.
The Service
I had opted for a 50 minute Swedish massage. From the beginning, my message therapist’s dedication to making me feel comfortable was impressive. She took a moment to check in and adjusted the heated massage table to the most perfect temperature, ensuring everything was to my liking. She also stressed the importance of open communication throughout the session. My therapist made it clear that I could always share my preferences or needs.
Throughout the service, I didn’t need to say a word. Her technique was truly something else – she was like a hand wizard. It was as if her hands moved with a magical finesse. She did her thing to say the least. You know how during a massage, you can usually anticipate and imagine the therapist’s moves and technique? Well with her I had no idea, it was like a beautiful mystery. It was one of those messages that makes you forget the week behind you and just be in the present moment.
Now, I can’t speak for everyone, but a massage like this one is very hard to come by, especially for someone like me who can be quite sensitive and prone to discomfort during a massage. At the end of my service, she switched the massage table to an upright position. This rendered me able to stand up effortlessly when I was ready.
Afterword, I headed back to the jacuzzi for a little more relaxation while waiting for my friend to finish her massage. It was an experience of pure bliss and restoration. It left me with a deep sense of peace that stayed with me long after I had left the spa. I don’t think I’d felt this relaxed in months.
My Bestie’s Experience
So this was actually my bestie’s first adventure to the spa in all her life. I know right, girl my jaw literally dropped to the floor when I found out she’d never experienced the bliss that is the spa. Anyway, I was so excited I was able to share this experience with her. So how was the Oleksandra Spa for the first timer? I asked her to describe her honest experience for my beloved readers. “Going to Oleksandra was not only my first visit to this particular spa, but my very first spa experience ever. I really enjoyed my 50 minute hot rock massage. Agnus, my message therapist, was exceptional. She really worked her magic on my shoulders, where I had been harboring all the tension and stress. The staff was great and very accommodating, and the cleanliness of the spa was reassuring. I appreciated the option to use the facilities later in the day. I’m looking forward to my next trip to Vegas. A return visit to this spa is definitely on my itinerary.”
Needless to say, Oleksandra Spa made her first-ever spa visit truly unforgettable. We are both very grateful for this self care experience.
